Mind blowing Makeup Dupes! My Favorite Makeup, Save vs. Splurge

Looking for some ways to save a little extra on your next makeup haul? Are you looking for that one great drugstore makeup dupe? Well I’m sharing dupes for some of my favorite go to products like Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer,  Too faced Chocolate Matte Bronzer, Nars Radiant Concealer, and more! 

Ya’ll I LOVE makeup whether it is drug store or high end. I often do tend to splurge for a lot of my face products because of my acne prone skin. But who am I kidding, if I find a good dupe that works well with my skin I am definitely all about that! Sometimes you are lucky when you find drugstore brands that perform just as great as the high end brands.  I am a firm believer you don’t need to splurge on everything if your skin can tolerate it. I often mix high and low end brands so I don’t have to compromise on looks or spend a ton of cash.  I also will use the dupes for the everyday where as I will use the high end for going out or special occasions.

IMMUMINATING PRIMERS

Save WITH>> SEPHORA Beauty Amplifier Ultra Smoothing Primer – $15.00
Splurge FOR >> Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer  – $38.00

Both the SEPHORA Beauty Amplifier Ultra Smoothing Primer and Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer are illuminating primers and leave your skin with a simply hint of glow.  The only difference that I found was that the Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Primer keep my face more oil free than the Sephora.  For the price the SEPHORA Beauty Amplifier Ultra Smoothing Primer is definitely my go to! Hope you give it a try.

BRONZERSave WITH>> NYX Professional Makeup Deep Matte Bronzer – $10.00
Splurge FOR >> Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer – $30.00

I love, love both of these!! I posted in my IG highlight “Dupes”the color swatches and how they aren’t an exact match but they go on pretty close. The formula is pretty spot on as well.  If you are in the market for a new matte bronzer wanting to splurge get Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer . However, if you are wanting to save then the NYX Professional Makeup Deep Matte Bronzer is your bronzer!

SETTING/BAKING POWDERSave WITH>> Make Revolution Loose Baking Powder – $8.00
Splurge FOR >> Laura Mercier Translucent Powder – $39.00                                               

The Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is a lightweight loose powder that blends nicely and sets makeup for up to 12 hours. I’m not sure anything lasts 12 hours on me but it does have long lasting wear.   It comes in different shades, but I tend to pick the translucent shades since they work on all skin tones.  With that said the Make Revolution Loose Baking Powder  performs on par with LM.  It can be used both as a setting and baking powder extending the makeup wear. Definitely a product worth trying.

CONCEALARS Save WITH>> Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – $6.49
Splurge FOR >> Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – $30.00

The Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is a full coverage satin finish concealer and is loved by many including me.  It works for both under eyes and little imperfections.  However, if you don’t want to spend the $30 dollars then the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer is a perfect dupe! This concealer is a little more on the dewy side but the coverage is very similar.  I have used this dupe for years! Looking for full coverage this is it.

TINTED MOISTURIZERS

Save WITH>> Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Skin Perfector– $8.99
Splurge FOR >> Laura Mercier Natural Skin Perfector – $47.00 

I love my Laura Mercier Natural Skin Perfector Moisturizer. It has SPF 30 and has a great coverage. It’s very light weight and the wear is pretty long lasting. As far as the dupe, I have not tried this one yet, but it is on the way! Based on what I have read from the ingredients the key overlapping features are SPF 30, hydration to the skin, and sheer coverage. I have heard and seen many people raving about the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream Skin Perfector as the best dupe. I’m so excited to try it and share it with you!
